From the Holyoke Water Works

On May 8, 2026, the Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Secretary Rebecca Tepper declared that the Connecticut River Valley is currently in a Level 2 - Significant Drought because of below normal rainfall over the last three months. The Holyoke Water Works surface water supply remains stable at 95% capacity and is not currently threatened by the drought situation. However, in accordance with the City's Water Management Act Registration, the Holyoke Water Works is implementing water use restrictions:

The Holyoke Water Works (HWW) is pleased to present its 2025 Annual Water System Report. The report is designed to inform you about the high quality water and services that we deliver each and every day. The HWW is committed to providing a safe and dependable drinking water supply. We want you to understand our continuing effort to protect and preserve our water resources. In 2025, our drinking water met all Federal and State drinking water standards.
