I decided
to try out this model because nowadays I am often working on projects that
require my full dedication and heart but often have little to no monetary compensation.
I deeply believe though, that a far greater ‘raison dêtre’ of these artistic
creations lies in the joy that it generates in the ears and eyes of the beholder.
That (apart from my own joy in the process of creation) is what truly motivates
me and I am very glad and thankful to observe that this is more and more the
case, both in the numbers of people I seem to reach and in the quality of the
emotions I seem to catalyze. (Wake Up reached 40.000 views in week on my YouTube
channel alone and the comments below the video are extremely positive and
emotional, which on YouTube is not very common.) 

I don’t
want to whine about it, but the fact is that in the age of digitally
distributed music there is very little revenue for a songwriter or artist to
expect from the big platforms like Spotify, Apple or Amazon. Still it seems
that as a musician nowadays you have to be found in their catalogue and therefor
I, too am in the process of releasing my songs on there, even though I was held
back from it by an uneasy feeling until now. 

Asking for
help is actually something quite difficult but in sight of these recent times
and the also very problematic situation of live performances, I decided to open
this channel to give you the opportunity to support me in a way that you find
appropriate. I am very thankful for every little contribution you can make and
hope to be growing as an artist and as a person with your help. Thank you! Bienvenido a esta

Decidí probar
este modelo porque hoy en día me encuentro a menudo trabajando en proyectos que
necesitan de mi plena dedicación y corazón pero frecuentemente gano poco o nada
de dinero con ellos. Creo profundamente que la razón de ser de estas creaciones
artísticas radica en la alegría que generan en la percepción del oyente o espectador.
Eso (aparte de mi propia alegría que siento durante la creación) es lo que
realmente me motiva. Estoy muy agradecido y feliz de observar que cada vez más
parece ser el caso, en el número de personas que alcanzo como en la calidad de
las emociones que al parecer catalizo. (Wake Up fue visto 40.000 veces en una
semana sólo en mi canal de YouTube y los comentarios bajo el video son
extremadamente positivos y emocionales, algo que no es lo habitual en YouTube.) 

No me quiero
quejar pero el hecho es que en la era de la distribución digital de la música un
autor o artista puede esperar muy poco beneficio de las grandes plataformas como
Spotify, Apple o Amazon. Aún así parece que un artista tiene que estar en sus catálogos
y por eso estoy en el proceso de lanzar mis canciones allí también. Algo que
hasta el momento no hice porque me daba una mala sensación. 

Pedir ayuda es de
hecho algo bastante difícil pero en vistas de estos últimos tiempos y de la situación
muy problemática en el sector de la música en vivo decidí abrir este canal para
daros la oportunidad de apoyarme con lo que os parezca oportuno. Estoy muy
agradecido por cada pequeña contribución que puedas hacer y deseo crecer como

Ich habe mich für
dieses neue Modell entschlossen, da ich mich in letzter Zeit öfter in Projekten
involviert sehe, die mir wenig bis gar keine Bezahlung bringen und dennoch
meinen vollen Einsatz und mein ganzes Herz beanspruchen. Ich glaube sehr stark
daran, dass diese künstlerischen Werke eine viel wichtigere
Existenzberechtigung haben, nämlich die, Freude in den Ohren des Hörers und in
den Augen des Betrachters zu schaffen. Das ist, (außer meiner eigenen Freude am
Prozess des Schaffens) was mich wahrhaftig motiviert und ich bin sehr dankbar
und glücklich darüber, dass das immer mehr der Fall zu sein scheint. Ich
erreiche zum einen immer mehr Leute und zum zweiten sind die Emotionen, die meine
Arbeit hervorruft immer stärker. (Wake Up erreichte allein auf meinem YouTube Kanal
in einer Woche 40.000 views und die Kommentare darunter sind äußerst positiv
und emotional, was auf YouTube eine Seltenheit ist.) 

Ich möchte hier
nicht jammern aber es ist leider ein Fakt, dass man in der Ära der digital
vertriebenen Musik als Komponist oder Künstler sehr wenig Einkommen von den großen
Plattformen wie Spotify, Apple oder Amazon erwarten kann. Trotzdem scheint es
wichtig in deren Katalogen zu erscheinen, weshalb auch ich dabei bin meine
Songs dort zu veröffentlichen, obwohl ich es bisher vermieden hatte weil ich
kein gutes Gefühl dabei hatte. 

Um Hilfe zu
bitten ist ehrlich gesagt nicht einfach aber im Angesicht dieser letzten Zeit
und der sehr problematischen Situation im Live-Musik-Sektor habe ich mich
entschlossen diesen Kanal zu eröffnen um Dir die Möglichkeit zu geben mich in
der Weise zu Unterstützen, die Du für angebracht hältst. Ich bin Dir sehr
dankbar für jede kleine Spende, die Du aufbringen kannst und hoffe als Künstler
