Huge congratulations to Enya! 🌿

We're delighted to congratulate Enya on winning a Silver Award for her beautiful Invisible Balance Garden at the RHS Badminton Flower Show this week.

Enya was diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension (a form of autonomic dysfunction) around ...six months ago. She designed her garden through the perspective of someone living with this condition, while also reflecting her experience as a neurodivergent individual. As many people living with PoTS are also neurodivergent, this thoughtful design helps highlight the realities of living with these often invisible conditions.

🌸 Can you help Enya? 🌸

Enya is also in the running for the People's Choice Award, with voting closing Friday at 4pm.

We'd love our community to support her by casting a vote. She is listed in the Pocket Planting category as:

'The University of Sheffield: The Invisible Balance Garden'

Vote here: https://www.rhs.org.uk/shows-events/rhs-badminton-flower-show/awards/rhs-peoples-choice-award

We wish Enya the very best of luck and thank her for raising awareness of autonomic conditions and the challenges faced by people living with PoTS, particularly in this hot weather! 💜

PoTS UK is coming to Edinburgh!

We'll be in Edinburgh on Tuesday 29th September and would love the opportunity to meet members of our PoTS community for an informal coffee and chat.

If you'd be interested in coming along, please let us know by commenting below. It would... be lovely to see how many people might be able to join us!

We're also looking for suggestions for a suitable accessible café or venue in Edinburgh where we could host this informal drop-in. If you know somewhere that could work, please comment below or email us at admin@potsuk.org.

We hope to see some of you there! ☕💜

Congratulations to Dr Lesley Kavi on 10 years as Chair of PoTS UK! 💜

Today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone and saying a huge thank you to Dr Lesley Kavi, who has been Chair of PoTS UK for the past 10 years.

Lesley has been dedicated to PoTS UK as a trustee for over ...15 years, helping to transform awareness, deliver education and offer support to people living with PoTS.

After studying medicine in Glasgow, Lesley worked as a GP and university lecturer before retiring in 2022 to dedicate even more time to the charity. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about improving the understanding of PoTS among healthcare professionals and making life better for patients.

Lesley co-edited the UK’s first medical textbook on PoTS and continues to play a leading role in developing national guidance on PoTS. She regularly teaches healthcare professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, helping to improve diagnosis and care across the UK.

Lesley’s vision is simple but powerful: that every healthcare professional recognises PoTS and has the knowledge and confidence to diagnose and manage it effectively.

Thank you, Lesley, for your unwavering commitment, leadership and compassion over the past decade. Your dedication has made a lasting difference to the lives of so many people in the PoTS community.
