Attachment Acquiring every badge in the game grants one final unique badge for the occasion. However, many badges required for this achievement were only obtainable through the limited time Party Crash and Party Crash Bash events. As such, it is no longer possible to 100% the game legitimately, as the last event was held in April of 2020.

Hatoful Boyfriend

The game's director Hato Moa handled most of the writing and programming, with fellow doujin artist Damurushi assisting with some minor aspects of the writing and art direction. Most of the game's development was spent gradually writing the narrative, which Moa described as mostly being "randomly thought up" as she went along. The exception was the mystery in the game's true ending, which she felt was the most difficult part of the game to write and impelled her to consult with an unspecified "pro" to work together to finish it.

Company: Dry Cactus
1
According to founder Patrick Corrieri, the studio name "Dry Cactus" was frivolously chosen from one of his personal interests that, incidentally, happened to be an unclaimed web domain.
Danganronpa Another: Another Despair Academy
1
Creator LINUJ's reasoning for making Danganronpa Another: Another Despair Academy was because he wanted more people to discover the Danganronpa series. At the time, visibility for the franchise in South Korea was low, and he didn't have the confidence or ability to translate a pre-existing game all by himself. LINUJ initially doubted he would be able to see through the development of the fangame, but that feeling slowly dissipated as he saw more posts from players enjoying new chapter releases on social media, motivating him to finish it.

The original Japanese versions of the games were known as "Yo-kai Watch Busters", and featured several references to the Ghostbusters franchise. However, the international versions either changed or removed many of these references:

• The B variants of Jibanyan, Komasan, and Usapyon were each redesigned to look less like the standard Ghostbuster uniform. However, the original outfits can still be seen in the intro.
• The final boss in the Japanese version was a Whisper-themed parody of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man named "Whismellowman". The international version replaced him with a kaiju-esque character named "Whisped Cream". Additionally, Whismellowman's scene in the intro was replaced with Snartle and Sheen's scene from the Moon Rabbit Crew opening (which was itself exclusive to the Japanese versions) in the international version, and he was replaced with Whisped Cream on the title screen.
• The Blastersmobile was redesigned to look less like the Ecto-1, mainly by removing the roof attachments and repositioning one of the tanks to the back of the vehicle.
• The final boss theme included vocals in the Japanese version. These were likely removed due to making the song sound too similar to the Ghostbusters theme, though the song is split into five different files for each language in the international version, suggesting lyrics were planned at one point.

For the 2025 re-release of Backyard Baseball 2001 (a.k.a. Backyard Baseball '01), the professional MLB players Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr., and Frank Thomas were replaced with the new characters Hugo Hernandez, Luke Lopez, and Chase Wilton respectively. This is due to the real-life players not granting permission to use their likenesses in the re-release; all three new characters were made using pre-existing characters from the custom character creator and share the same stats as the pros they replaced. As a result, the Chicago White Socks and San Fransisco Giants lack an official MLB player from their respective teams, though the Cincinnati Reds are still represented with the inclusion of Barry Larkin.

The 2025 re-release of Backyard Baseball 2001 (a.k.a. Backyard Baseball '01) changes the names of the Cleveland Indians and the Oakland Athletics to the Cleveland Guardians and Athletics respectively, and replaces their respective logos with new ones, reflecting changes made by the real-life baseball teams in the 2020's. The former reflects the 2021 rebranding of Cleveland's team after controversy surrounding its original name and former mascot Chief Wahoo, while the latter reflects the Athletics moving out of Oakland in 2025 and depreciating their association with any city until they completed their permanent move to a new ballpark in Las Vegas, Nevada. New voice lines were also recorded replacing all mentions of the Cleveland Indians and Oakland Athletics with the new team names. For unknown reasons, no other team names or logos were adjusted; the Montreal Expos are notably still present in the game, despite having moved to Washington, D.C. and renaming themselves as the Washington Nationals in 2005.

Attachment Added in the Wastelanders update, a large dead vulture-like creature can be found pinned to the side of the cliffs of Seneca Rocks. This vulture was originally an early design for the Scorchbeast, but it was replaced with the current bat-like model. The miscellaneous item Viable Scorchbeast DNA still contains the editor ID "BoSz04_VultureDNA".

Attachment The track "Motherbound" is a reference to the MOTHER series of video games:

• The song's title is a portmanteau of the series' Japanese name, MOTHER, and its English name, EarthBound.
• The song's flavor text, "say fuzzy pickles", is the catchphrase of the Photo-man who intermittently appears throughout the second game in the series.
• The name of the song's Star difficulty, "Boing!", quotes a verbal tic spoken by the Mr. Saturn species from the series.
Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road
1
Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road was originally announced in 2016 as "Inazuma Eleven Ares" and slated to release in 2018 to tie into the anime series of the same name. However, it soon faced numerous delays and name changes, with the 2020 delay seeing the game's name changed to "Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes". The game would receive its final title in 2022, and would gain console ports for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S, but the iOS and Android versions would be cancelled as well. After one final delay, the game would finally release on November 13, 2025.

Ion Fury
1
Attachment The game was originally announced as Ion Maiden. However, in May 2019, the holding company of the heavy metal band Iron Maiden filed a $2 million lawsuit against 3D Realms alleging that they were using a "virtually identical" imitation of their trademarks that was confusing fans who assumed Ion Maiden was another Iron Maiden tie-in game. The lawsuit cited the similar name and logo font, the logo's skull icon which they claimed was similar to Iron Maiden's mascot Eddie, and the name of the protagonist Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison appearing similar to the name of Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris (it should be noted that her character concept was originally conceived in 1997, and she and the skull icon previously appeared in Bombshell). While 3D Realms at first called the claims "frivolous" and "over the top", they relented and changed the name to Ion Fury in July because, according to then-CEO Mike Nielsen, "it would be a disservice to our loyal fanbase and the fantastic developers, to drag out a long lawsuit."

Warcraft: Orcs & Humans

While later games in the series would have intricately detailed backstories and dialogue, Warcraft: Orcs & Humans had no script. Its dialogue and story were improvised in the recording studio by the game's co-producer and sole voice actor Bill Roper.
Warcraft: Orcs & Humans
1
The game was originally intended to be the first in a series of Warcraft-branded war games in fictional and real settings (such as a proposed Warcraft: Vietnam), as Blizzard executives felt customers would think that a brand with many similar games on shelves was serious and well-supported.
Splatterhouse
1
Attachment One of the game's advertisements used in magazines and comic books featured the tagline: "Just keep telling yourself: it's only a video game... only a video game..." This is a reference to a tagline that was first seen in the trailers for the 1965 film Color Me Blood Red which state: "You must keep reminding yourself: it's just a movie, it's just a movie." A similar quote was later used for the trailers to the 1972 film The Last House on the Left.

Deltarune

Attachment From Chapter 2 onwards, the game's title screen includes a small subtitle below the main logo listing the current chapter. In addition to including graphics for Chapters 2 through 7 (lining up with the visible options on the chapter select screen), the game's data also includes Spoiler:graphics for Chapters 0, 1, 8, 9, and 10. While the Chapter 1 graphic is presumably for organizational purposes, the role of the remaining unused graphics is more ambiguous. As the game states that "THE HALFWAY MARK HAS BEEN ATTAINED" after completing Chapter 4, it is unclear whether the references to Chapters 0, 8, 9, and 10 were reflective of an earlier, longer outline for the game's story or if they were included as red herrings.
