I’m proud of the campaign I ran despite the situation I faced, but where has it been reported in the media? It’s not like the safety of MPs hasn’t been of public interest or newsworthy. Yet with me, there evokes a deadly silence & women’s experiences are treated so differently.

Bangladesh pledged 3,000 midwife posts in 2010. This month it committed to deploy 25,000 midwives by 2030. A milestone made possible through Bangladesh’s government and support from Sweden, the UK, Canada, and the World Bank.

Workers deserve dignity, safety and fair treatment, not exploitation. 13 years after the Rana Plaza collapse, it's well overdue for the UK to introduce mandatory human rights safeguards across supply chains.

This morning, I joined @DanielKebedeNEU on the picket line with @EastLondonNEU members at St Paul’s Way Trust school, who’ve felt no choice but to go on strike. These workers are fighting for their jobs against cuts & clearly have the support of so many local people. Solidarity!

Survivors of domestic abuse should not be prevented from standing for or staying in public office, due to the harassment of their perpetrators. We should not be exposed to this further harassment while undertaking our public duties.

Every two seconds, a woman gives birth without clean water. I'm backing Water Aid's Time To Deliver campaign, calling on the UK government to prioritise water in its international development agenda. wateraid.org/global/campaig…

Many leaseholders impacted by extortionate service charge increases, feel they are being pushed towards bankruptcy. With even more leasehold and common hold legislation on the horizon, I am continuing to meet with local residents and groups, just as I did in Blackwall recently.

As I said in November, my constituents already believed the 35% ‘affordable’ housing requirement to be an injustice, sustaining the housing crisis in London. Slashing it to 20% only deepens the crisis, not solve it.

Pleased to join @QVSR1, Baroness Lawrence & @debs_wb for the unveiling of a Blue Plaque at Jeremiah St in honour of pastor & anti-racist community activist, Kamal Chunchie. A remarkable figure who championed the rights of black, Asian & mixed-heritage communities in East London.

The sheer number of cases showing the direct targeting of Palestinian children "constitutes a key element in the Israeli authorities’ genocidal intent to destroy the Palestinian group in Gaza." This report of the UN Commission of Inquiry cannot be ignored:
