- Thanks to the @Royals for having the boys out tonight! Head Coach Tim McElligott got to throw out the ceremonial first pitch and the boys were honored on the field before the game.
- Thank you, so much, to everyone who came out and supported us today. We were blown away by all of you who showed up for us today. We’ve got Nixa headed our way next Saturday, 5/27, at our place. Can we get two claps and a boom? 👀
- Your 2024 Blue Springs Wildcats are headed to state.
- Last March, Head Coach Tim McElligott earned his 100th career victory as the head coach of the BSHS Wildcat Baseball program. His 108 wins are the second most in BSHS history. Today, the team celebrated Coach McElligott before our season begins on Friday. Congratulations, Coach!
- Congratulations to our 2023 All-Conference award winners. Some well-deserved recognition for a few of our boys this spring!
- June 1st, 2024: Missouri High School State Championship Game June 14th, 2025: College World Series Game One
- Finally, congratulations to Cole Gibler on being named BSHS’s first “MHSBCA Player of the Year” since Nick Tepesch won the award back in 2007. Cole was certainly more than deserving after he carried an OPS over .900 at the plate and struck out 106 batters in 57.2 IP on the mound.
- Our season ended today in a 4-5 loss to Nixa in the state quarterfinal. The boys finished their season 24-15 with the school’s first district title since 2007. The coaches would like to thank our seniors for four years of hard work. You’ve set the bar high.
- June 17th, 2024 is officially “Blue Springs High School Wildcats Baseball Team” day in Blue Springs! Thanks to Mayor Lievsay and the Blue Springs City Council for honoring our boys today.
- Some individual highlights from today: - Jackson Trueblood: 2-2, 2B - Nick Gibler: 2-3 - Lincoln Stephenson: 2 IP, 0 R, 4 K Also, Lincoln Stephenson set the school record for games played in a career with 112, surpassing 2018 grad Jake Lufft. Congrats, Lincoln!
- With a 9-4 win today over LSW, your 2024 Blue Springs Wildcats are conference champions! Congratulations to the boys on a great accomplishment.
