Today, we remember Vincent Chin, a 27-year-old Chinese American man who was brutally murdered in 1982 simply for being Asian. Vincent’s life was stolen by hatred and scapegoating, but his legacy endures in the movement for Asian American civil rights that continues to this day.

Trump’s Justice Department just gave him lifetime immunity from tax audits, with no Congress or court involved. Even Republican senators are calling it a problem. When the president can write himself out of oversight, what’s left to stop him?
President Trump has long sought to avoid scrutiny of his taxes, and during his first run for office refused to release his tax returns, breaking a norm for presidential candidates.

Some good news for a change! A judge ruled that Trump’s freeze on processing immigration applications for 39 countries is illegal and that processing must restart immediately. This ruling is a step in the right direction. Let’s keep up the fight.

The Trump admin is abandoning America’s promise to those seeking safety and freedom. They are welcoming white Afrikaners while shutting the door on others fleeing violence & persecution. This World Refugee Day, CAPAC remains committed to keeping that promise alive for all.

Half of South Asian adults have started carrying proof of immigration status/citizenship or know someone who does. It doesn’t matter if they are U.S. citizens or have legal status. Under this administration, simply being Asian is enough to be stopped by ICE agents.

Over 160 years after emancipation on Juneteenth, Trump and Congressional Republicans are doing everything in their power to rip away the freedoms that Black Americans have fought and died to preserve. We will never give up the fight for a more perfect union.

In 2023, a deadly mass shooting took the lives of 11 people in my hometown of Monterey Park. In 2025, nearly 14,000 people lost their lives to gun violence in the United States. In June, during Gun Violence Awareness Month, we wear orange to honor those we've lost, stand with

June is Immigrant Heritage Month, a time to recognize the generations of immigrants whose courage, sacrifice, and contributions have shaped the American story. It is a reminder that our country is strongest when we live up to our values. My parents came to this country from

$300B for Iran, $300M for a ballroom, and a $300K pardon for his insider-trading buddy. Some presidents leave a legacy. This one leaves a receipt.
