To be honest, Meta's codec avatars are probably one of the most exciting and interesting features that will come to VR/AR headsets in the next few years.
I can't wait to see updates on Meta Connect this year

I really want to see more VR games like Tea For God that bring creative ways to move freely without using a thumbstick.
It's incredibly refreshing to experience this kind of innovation in VR. Playing this game in a 15x15m area on Quest is just something else.
I have had my Quest 3 days now. I was busy playing with it as I was impressed by the quality bump from Quest 2.
So here are first impressions from a guy upgrading from Quest 2 (I didn't test Quest Pro):
🟢 Lenses are like a glass, absolutely stunning.

I am not a VR Expert, but by testing several HMDs I started to understand how good Quest 3 Passthrough is
There is literally one headset with a better Passthrough than Quest 3 which is Varjo XR3. It costs more than $10,000.
Apple Vision Pro isn't out yet of course.
PCVR has one huge advantage over standalone: It's a unified platform.
If you decide to switch headsets, from Quest 2 to Pico 4, or any other standalone HMD, you will lose all the games/apps you had.
This is a problem that needs to be solved by creating a unified platform ASAP.
Meta's La Jolla VR/AR headset will definitely be a direct competitor to Apple's HMD. But not at $3000, I doubt that any competitor will go that high.

I don't know why but when I show Mixed Reality to my younger cousins on Quest 3 they seem a lot more excited about it than about VR.
One even wants Quest 3 for Christmas only because of Mixed Reality.
Maybe because it is like magic to them?
I changed my mind, I hate Hand Tracking while watching media on Quest 3.
I can't describe how many times I had my hands behind my head or somewhere else and Quest 3 either tracked my feet and clicked somewhere randomly or it somehow tracked my hand and closed the browser.
