    All I’ve ever wanted out of my coaching career…. Is for the women around and in our program to be able to walk into a stadium, onto a field, an operating room, a court room, a meeting room and have mastered the feeling of… “I’m a freaking badass” #NGWSD

    Hill I will die on. Get over their tattoos, piercings,ripped jeans,sock hat in the summer, leggings as pants, “unprofessional dress” code. You are missing out on some incredibly talented, gifted, savvy, creative human beings bc we are worried about professional attire #GetOverIt

    I’m ALL IN on the bat flip. Why? I think we are missing the gender component to this discussion. These women can now access behaviors (like bat flipping) that display power, strength, confidence, dominance, etc,all things previously available only to male athletes @InTheCircleSB

    Female athletes-the world is goin to offer u plenty of chances to shrink yourself,lower ur voice,to stunt yourself.For goodness sakes-get on the practice field & practice bein the biggest presence in the room. It starts there.Speak with ur bat glove or mouth. IDC but be a pitbull

    A freshman is standing in line behind you waiting to hit or take grounders,she wants to be just like you..... how you react in the seconds after being coached or called up teaches her how to be a good teammate, friend, person, coworker.Know how powerful you are in those moments

    Had an older teammate grab me up as a freshman,took me to the field on weekends.Would hit 100s of balls from tee/toss at home plate. “Sewell,get your bat,we’re going to the field”. Quiet reps where I could just work/feel.Bridged the gap btw Friday & Monday’s practice in offseason

    Players: You can take weekends off & get by, but should you? Getting by gets you nowhere. Getting better should be your objective. Great players have no problem sacrificing their free time to work. That’s what makes them great. It takes discipline to get in the gym & improve.

    Had to hit the mute button on this Florida/UCLA on @FloSoftball. Do some research about the two teams! Ridiculous commentating. Know their approaches, know their history, research their style of play. Can’t find 2 women in SOCal area to announce this game? Woof. These 2 guys 🙄

    There was a little girl who stood behind us at the visitation. Dressed in Oregon top & softball pants couldn’t have been 7-8 years old quietly crying for her “favorite softball player”. This video and that little girl are incredible legacies to a life beautifully lived...

    Congrats to the boss on 700! 1. Joins a very elite club of 2 other women who have won 700+ in the MVC (Fischer/Hesse). Why I love this conference. Amazing female mentorship in this league 2. She wins all 700 as a Saluki. Folks that’s just not going to happen much anymore 🐐

    .⁦@SIU_Softball⁩ has been workin HARD in mini-camp for almost a week now! 2-a-day practices,lifts,bullpens & meals together but we’ve FINALLY found something we are really good at! #5-6-7-8 Thank you to A’Veun Moore-Jones & her crew for your choreography & a fun time!
