In this video from Local 8's Facebook page, they explain 2300 Arena is a non-union venue that AEW is choosing to work with. AEW will run 7 events there from tonight through Sept 6.

If you ever wanted a true test of what the internet can add to a professional wrestling television audience - Wednesday for AEW will be the real test. Remember...all of this drama was streamed - there's no promos - there's no TV - nothing. It's literally all backstage.

It’s 2022. I just watched @MadKing1981 - a dude who’s slept on my parents couch, drank with, yelled at and been yelled back, make Chris Jericho tap out on a national pay per view. Dumbfounded but no one deserves this more than him. He bleeds pro wrestling. Congrats King.

The fact that the union is pointing at AEW instead of the Arena itself - when it’s hosted countless amounts of events - and even had union workers at their pay per view in the Liacourus Center - points at this being an arena issue - not AEW. So there’s a reason it’s AEW framed..

Correct. WWE probably slipped under the radar running the 2300 Arena because it was framed as NXT. As someone who promoted hundreds of events at the Arena with Maven Bentley and CZW - this has NEVER BEEN an issue…EVER. Dating back to 2001.

It's an invalid criticism. The energy pointed towards AEW regarding this isn't the same as WWE. AEW debuts someone - "WHO? WHERE'S THE VIDEO PACKAGE? WHY DO I CARE" WWE puts husband & wife together in storyline - "GOOD THING I KNOW THE BACK STORY." Just stay consistent.

I don't get it. It must be me. But...a bad wrestling show produced by AEW is few and far between. I don't get why so many people try to make it seem like it isn't entertaining. Good wrestling. Easy to follow stories. What am I missing?

Painfully circular and 3 “seasons” past its peak. The angle has existed for 5 years and was great for a total of about roughly 12-18 months cumulatively.
