Another deadline met. Another step away from Russian energy dependence—for good. ✅ April 25: short-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) banned ✅ June 17: short-term pipeline gas banned ➡️ January 1, 2027: Russian LNG ends ➡️ By November 1, 2027 (latest): no Russian gas enters EU

As of yesterday, Russian pipeline gas under existing short-term contracts is no longer allowed into the EU. One step at a time, we are phasing out all remaining imports of Russian gas from our system. The goal is clear: getting to zero. #REPowerEU
