By the end of 2027, we will have around 5000 men and women in Lithuania – a full combat-ready brigade. Second, in Latvia and Estonia: from July, the German–Netherlands Corps will assume responsibility as NATO’s tactical headquarters for Latvia and Estonia. 2/2 - Europe must assume greater responsibility for its own conventional deterrence and defence. - Our minehunter FULDA and the replenishment ship MOSEL are currently transiting the Suez Canal en route to the Red Sea. The vessels are being forward-positioned for a possible mission in the Strait of Hormuz. We want to be able to act swiftly when required. 📸 NATO
