This is it. The end of my career. I've fought this bug for 3 hours and I can't defeat it. The bug defies logic and reason. The rest of my days will be spent in eternal struggle against an amorphous foe, destined to- Oh, there was a typo in an environment variable. Never mind.

It's happening. Newtonsoft.Json download count passed 32-bit integer max size. What else breaks or overflows? 😈

The "make everything an interface, just in case" movement is a scourge in .NET. Software developers think it is best practice and make their lives harder for no good reason.

I wrote a Blazor WebAssembly app that shows the performance benefits of gRPC-Web compared to JSON. Both are fast with small payloads. With large data sets: • gRPC network usage is 70% smaller • gRPC deserialization is 10 times faster Check it out here: grpcblazorperf.azurewebsites.net

.NET 5 is mostly done so I'm taking time to write @docsmsft gRPC docs. Topics so far: • gRPC performance best practices • How Protobuf maps to .NET types • Inter-process communication with gRPC • gRPC deadlines and cancellation Anything you want docs on? Ideas welcome 💡

Fixed a Newtonsoft.Json bug when deserializing JSON to a type with a constructor that has more than 256 parameters. .NET developers, I thought we lived in a society with rules but it turns out you're crazy. Lucky for you I like crazy 🐴
