- Sometimes I remember that we built a music nft platform in 2017 and get sad it didn’t work but timing is everything and I’m glad the work is continuing
- Nft week in NYC was a trip. Amazing people, pretty terrible parties. Very bullish on web3, less so on the current generation of NFTs. Lots of ego, lots of peacocking, lots of exclusivity. Web3 is supposed to level the playing field and not replicate the problems of web2
- Web3 isn’t about building the next Facebook, Twitter or MySpace. It’s not about platforms, it’s about people with permission less tools empowered to keep innovating. If we get lost in building the next platforms, we get lost in the sauce.We are in the MySpace era of web3. The next Facebook, Instagram and Twitter have yet to be created. Zoom out.

- 1/ Ten years ago, I co-founded @UjoMusic , which launched the first consumer-facing app on Ethereum in 2015. It was a proof of concept, but it taught us that the future of music could be more open, artist-centric, and creatively free.

- Maybe the future doesn’t need “decentralized” record labels. Perhaps labels are a very basic view of what possible with this technology
