Head still spinning from a standing ovation for my Blue Peter poem at the 60th birthday party last night. All the legends there. People in tears. Crowned with a diamond 60th Blue Peter badge. Did that really happen?

Reminds me of a family classic. My Mum was ill and Dad was tasked with serving some Neapolitan ice cream to visitors, back when it came in cardboard to be cut into slices. From the kitchen came the legendary call: “Elaine! What shall I do ‘ere? There’s 3 colours and 4 people?!”
