Just seen a TikTok where a parent was (well within their rights) complaining about the cost of a school trip to NYC but most bonkers thing is the comments - people are furious that costs would cover the teachers going. Well…yes - you know they can go to NYC without your child??!

We have a child with quite significant needs in our class, and yesterday a group of the boys squirrelled off at break time and came back with a list of suggestions to make sports day accessible for him, such as blutacking his egg to his spoon. The kids truly are alright.

The Roald Dahl rewriting thing feels odd simply because there are 42 new David Walliams books published every week that are stuffed with problematic drivel - often racism that isn’t even hidden. What’s the point of acting retrospectively if you don’t get it right in the present?

There should be a get into teaching advert that shows a teacher asking their class to write the date and underline it followed by a child immediately asking if they should write the date and underline it.

Have a boy in class who we found out for varying reasons I obviously won't go into, didn't know how to ride a bike. Boxed off the last 15 mins of every day for him and two of the other boys to go out and they have taught him. Watching him ride across the playground was magic.
