Very good briefing by NSA Gen McMaster on Afghanistan hosted by @nikkihaley at US Mission. Swedish longstanding support to peaceful Afghanistan remains firm. Security, development and human rights go hand in hand.

A pleasant meeting to bid my farewell to @antonioguterres after many years here at the UN. The EU and UN both emerged from World Wars. Europe remains heavily invested in a well functioning UN delivering peace, sustainable development and human rights to all.

Standing ovation for survivors of the Rwanda genocide in the UNGA. Their message : We were left alone. No women shall have to flee from violence with her newborn on her back. What happened in Rwanda cannot be undone but please ensure that it doesn’t happen again anywhere!
