Chancellor’s speech paraphrased for anyone who missed it: “Everything we did last year hasn’t worked; we promised we wouldn’t have to ask for more money but we were wrong. We will be asking for more money and NONE of this is our fault. You’re all VERY lucky we’re in charge.”

I'm leaving Hargreaves Lansdown. Off to work for @pureelectricnow cycling, electric bicycles and e-scooters. Bit of a change. Secretly I think maybe I care a bit more about bikes than I do about pensions. Took me until 53 to realise

Every politician who slavishly parrots the mantra of triple lock preservation should be asked to explain why they think it is fair, how they plan to pay for it and what test they will apply for its eventual abolition.

When I left my job of 18 years at @HLInvest in early summer 2020, there was no party, no booze, no farewell speeches. At the time I thought this was because of lockdown. Having watched Boris explain the guidance yesterday, I now realise it was actually because no one gave a f*8k

One of the (many) reasons I changed jobs a few years ago, was the BBC adopted a policy of giving preference to female money and pensions experts over males; more than once I was booked to go on a BBC show and then cancelled because they had 'found a woman to do it instead'...

The curious phenomenon continues: politicians speak passionately about the injustice done to #WASPI women and the need for compensation, right up to the moment when they get into power, examine the files and have to actually allocate money to such a scheme, then...tumbleweed
