Raul Julia was dealing with terminal stomach cancer whilst filming the Street Fighter movie, and died shortly after. He's the best thing about the movie. He did interviews saying he took the role in spite of his health because his kids loved Street Fighter II. What a legend.

A reminder: none of the people losing their jobs today from within Hasbro or Wizards of the Coast were responsible for the $3.5 million collar loss mentioned below. Those decisions were made by people making $5 million dollars a year, who will not see pay cuts this year.

On the left, a $3 version of Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, one of my favourite Magic cards of all time. A format staple across most places she can be played - a sought after card. On the right, an $80 promo version. The cost of MTG should be in the cosmetic, not the functional.

"Commander Masters prices are justified because card prices are expensive and stuff. You can't put expensive cards in $4 boosters!" the absolute brain rot I think stepping away to play other games really gives you perspective on how absolutely bolloxe MTG pricing is.

Literally talking to a new player at Prerelease who said "I loved Foundations, found Aetherdrift to be weird and not for me, thank god we have cool dragons and Goblins and stuff in Dragonstorm again". Even the brand new Magic players want the conventional Magic-y Magic.
