    RAF Shawbury was honoured to receive the Royal Flight for Her Majesty the Queen’s visit to Shropshire today. Service personnel lined the departure route back through the Unit, with families enjoying the opportunity to speak to Queen Camilla and bid her farewell from the County.

    Yesterday, during a night flying sortie whilst delivering rear crew staff training, Flight Lieutenant Sean Leach completed his 8760th hour of flying, which is the equivalent of spending 1 year in the air. Congratulations Sean on this significant flying milestone!

    Today, RAF Shawbury received a flyover by a formation of 10 @RAFBenson Puma helicopters as part of a training sortie that incorporated flypasts of notable locations for the Puma Force over the past 50 years. @RoyalAirForce #Puma50 facebook.com/RAFShawbury/

    Thursday 2nd December 2021 was the last day in uniform for Flight Lieutenant Douglas Brown. His @RoyalAirForce career as a helicopter pilot has spanned 37 years and 9200 flying hours, of which 3000 were instructional. Thank you for your Service Flt Lt Brown.

    No 1 Flying Training School achieves another first! Four helicopter pilot trainees from the Irish Air Corps graduated alongside 23 tri-Service pilots and rearcrew today. They are the first Irish Air Corps pilots to be trained by No 1 FTS. More below: @AscentFlight @cabster3560

    No 1 FTS Essential Night Flying Training from 6 July for 3 weeks. Our world leading training ensures the best helicopter aircrew reach the front-line. Essential to this training is to fly at night so they can operate in any environment with crews using Night Vision Devices.
