There’s a conversation seared in my mind with an abortion provider I greatly respect. He said it wasn’t until he expanded into the 3rd tri that he cared for his first 9yo patient. He has since cared for many children. He choked up as he said this.
It’s why we explicitly identify “young people” and “very young people” when we talk about 3rd tri abortion patients. We can talk about a child’s right to repro healthcare without leaning on these cases as exceptions to restrictions. But we must talk about them because they exist.
I'll just say this. Back when we were shlepping to Hill offices to share our later abortion story and ask for support against viability bans, there was one single Senate office that had an actual reproductive rights lawyer on staff. And that Senator was Kamala Harris.

5yo has been really into money lately- asking family how much money we have, what jobs make, etc. We asked why the sudden curiosity and she said it’s because she and her BFF need a bunch of money to quote “get their own place.” 🙄
