We are so blessed to have ALAS here in the heart of Half Moon Bay. Everyone should come check out this beautiful mural-- the first Latino-centered cultural arts mural on the Coastside.

For 158 years, birthright citizenship has reflected a simple constitutional promise: if you're born on U.S. soil, you're an American citizen. No president has the authority to rewrite the Constitution with the stroke of a pen.

Great to chat with members of San Jose Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority at my recent office hours. I appreciated our conversation about Social Security, women's health, homeownership, and strengthening our health care workforce. Thanks to @SJAACSA for hosting and to

I enjoyed welcoming my colleagues from the @NewDemCoalition to Silicon Valley for thoughtful conversations about AI, workforce development, privacy, and entrepreneurship. As Chair of the New Dem's Innovation & Technology Working Group, I value opportunities like these to bring

In the last half decade, local communities have received $22 billion in federal CDBG funding to mitigate impacts of natural disasters–but only after disaster has struck. The Ounce of Prevention Act cuts red tape to allow local communities to use federal funds to strengthen

Palo Alto hosted an epic a neighborhood chili cook-off today at Mitchell Park. Like any dutiful politician, I steered away from the day's biggest controversies (beans vs. no beans; veggie vs. meat) to enjoy lots of neighbors gathering and a little friendly competition.

Great conversation with students from Redwood Middle School in Saratoga last month. We discussed AI, Super PACs, and the bills I'm working on in Congress. They brought thoughtful questions that kept me on my toes–I suspect there are some future journalists–and leaders–in this

The Department of Commerce reversed its decision to restrict Anthropic’s frontier AI models, but we still don’t know why. The Administration’s standards, criteria, and evidentiary thresholds remain murky. The public and developers deserve transparent, objective rules applied

We've got some great examples of companies, like @nvidia, rolling up their sleeves and working with local educators to prepare students for the jobs of the future. The SKILL Act helps us scale that nationwide.
