- In #LSUvsBAMA, if a receiver is forced out of bounds due to contact by a defender, the receiver can re-establish position on the field and make a legal catch. On the play in question, the ruling on the field was the receiver was forced out of bounds by contact.
- By rule, no kicking team player may block an opponent until his team is eligible to touch an on-sides kick. In this situation, since the ball was not touched by the receiving team, the ball would have to go 10 yards before the kicking team is eligible to touch it. (1/2)
