Slovenia 🇸🇮 regrets the use of the veto on a #UNSC humanitarian resolution on Gaza. Starvation and withholding of aid are inhumane, against int'l law, and cannot be justified by any war objective. The day when we will be able to unite on this is close — and we will keep trying.

At #UNSC meeting on Gaza this week, Ambassador Žbogar spoke about the situation in northern Gaza as a siege within a siege. We continue calling for an immediate ceasefire. Slovenia 🇸🇮 will not forget about Gaza and will not lose hope for #UNSC to speak with one voice. 👇

We welcome the adoption of UNSCR 2728 demanding an immediate ceasefire in #Gaza for the month of Ramadan leading to a lasting sustainable ceasefire. This resolution shows the E10 leadership for peace.
