    Teacher Christa McAuliffe, who died in shuttle Challenger disaster in 1986, had planned to conduct several science lessons in space. Now @ChallengerCtr and @NASA have completed 4 of her lessons and made them available to educators: bit.ly/2LlN9Jw #STEM #WomenInSTEM

    Four congresswomen have introduced a bill to recognize the Mercury 13, a group of women who passed the same screening tests as the 1st male NASA astronauts but were denied a chance to fly in space. Some of the 13 are shown at Kennedy Space Center in 1995. bit.ly/3QkrzVN

    Cast members of TV’s #StarTrek were on hand #OTD in 1976 for rollout of Enterprise, #NASA’s first space shuttle, in Palmdale. Enterprise, named for the starship on the show, could be launched from a jetliner for test flights but couldn't fly in space. bit.ly/2MLoKZq
