- I secured a $70k grant to install speed signs near Thomas Jefferson Elementary School & Brookside Elementary School in the @TownofYorktown. Thank you Supervisor @slater4ny for your work in securing this. Joining us for the announcement were Chief Noble & other local officials.
- Shameful of @Tom_Suozzi to use Republican talking points today to criticize the much-needed ADU legislation contained in the #NYS budget proposal from @GovKathyHochul.
- We can save lives in many ways - through legislation, and with meaningful dialogue and compassion. The first thing we need to do is end the stigma. I'm proud to share my story. I hope those who are struggling can seek help and share their own.
- Replying to @SenatorHarckhamAs a Democrat, Suozzi should not be pandering to short-sighted NIMBY reactionaries. Instead, he should think about strengthening our communities for all residents, which is the intent of the ADU legislation.
- Replying to @SenatorHarckhamFor Suozzi, the “single family zoning” that he espouses is actually a dog-whistle for the exclusionary zoning that leads to segregated communities and a lack of affordable housing.
- I am proud to report that S6893 has just unanimously passed the @NYSenate. This will make it illegal to dump radiological waste water into the Hudson and protect the economic vitality of the region. Thank you to all of the incredible advocates who helped make this possible.
- Participated today in a roundtable with New York State Attorney General Letitia James, County Executive George Latimer, and Majority Leader @AndreaSCousins, where we discussed public safety and mental health initiatives toward recent reducing crime in our communities.
- “Any attempt by the Executive to insert a change in climate accounting into budget negotiations is ill-advised and ill-timed. Climate science has clearly evolved to demonstrate that methane is the immediate threat and heats the planet faster than carbon dioxide.
- R.I.P. Queen Alice--as good a canine companion as there ever was. Long live the Queen!
- Now in the thick of the state budget debate--and I'm prepared.
- Having treats around is important for good office morale!
- Honored to be a part of the Rally to Kick Fossil Fuels Out of our Buildings! There's no reason to be dependent on geopolitical events that affect the prices and availability of fossil fuels. We must act now.
