"... their latest work has seen a quiet, unceremonious and frostily received release."
Frostily received? They are two of the most popular Netflix shows at the moment and getting great reviews from audiences.
Ever been a fan of someone in the entertainment industry and one day almost out of nowhere you find you can't stand the sight and sound of them anymore? I'm like that with David Tennant. Used to really enjoy his work but now I find him totally insufferable.
I'll bet good money that no-one before today considered one of the most iconic villains in #DoctorWho history to be problematic because he was in a 'wheelchair'. It's an iconic character design, and to dispose of it now is a ridiculous decision.
Took a beloved classic family TV show, remade it in his own image and completely fucked it. He could have made it event telly again but his ego and desire to use it as a vehicle to normalise 'queer' ideology to children took precedence. He shouldn't be allowed near it ever again.
Fuck right off with this shit. Deliberately trying to alienate a huge section of the audience is not the win you think it is, and it keeps happening in interview after interview. It's succeeding in turning people away though, so well done to you all.
Saw a few tweets today from obviously younger folks discussing not being able to enjoy certain older TV shows/movies because they are 'problematic'. So bloody glad that wasn't a thing when I was young. Sounds exhausting.
Over the past couple of weeks I have been told numerous times on X that a) I'm not a DOCTOR WHO fan and b) I don't know anything about DOCTOR WHO.
Okay...😂
Love the grey haired feller who says he wants to be spoken to with respect but then goes on to call @BillboardChris a dickhead. Melbourne's best and brightest, folks.
They formed a human wall around me and decided to stop speaking, which was the smartest thing they did all day.
This has a bit of everything, including some sweet dance moves and a version of “that’s not happening” followed by “it’s happening and it’s good.”
