- Sophomore Maddie Fey of Midlothian is the district champion in the discus at 162’11. Best Discus thrower in the nation!!

- If I were elected Governor, I would establish a committee of current and former Superintendents and let them recommend how to improve student achievement and finance Texas public schools properly. Politicians doing this is like me performing brain surgery on myself. No vouchers!

- Flushed with cash, the Tx house and senate agree on a budget with no teacher pay raise? Seriously? Are we going to tie passing vouchers to a pay raise? Is that the game we are playing? Good to see retired teachers can get a license plate out of it though!!
- Last day at the Gtown office. What a wonderful five years. Fantastic people to work with!Janet and I are looking forward to turning the page to the next chapter in our lives at Midlothian. Great adventures await!!
