- Always kills me that Ubisoft with a 2008 game like Far Cry 2 has this level of interactivity and fidelity. It runs on a toaster and still looks relatively decent. They have water reflections with the two camera technique, at the cost that water must always be at the same height.

- There's this really nice "motion blur" trick in Halo 2: When the warthog goes fast, the wheels change their texture to that nice blurred version to simulate fast motion.
