- David Reimer wasn’t a trans kid, he was forced into transition due to a botched circumcision. Ironically, this case proves that gender identity is unchangeable and forcing anyone to live as a gender they’re not, is detrimental to mental health.One of the first “trans kids” was also one of the first detransitioners.
