    Update: we're passing the potato chip test. The motor is being operated in torque control mode at 10hz. Torque setpoints are calculated to cancel gravity based on the current joint angle and previously derived masses and centers of mass of the two links.

    Working on a twist capsule design for robotic joints. This is a device that let's you compactly run a cable through a limited rotation joint. Use this when you don't want to expose cables outside the robot chasis. Yay or nay?

    Testing how well the twist capsule works in practice. When the cable inside the twist capsule is all wound up it wants to unwind. This exerts a small position-dependent torque on the joint. PID feedback appears to be compensating well for this unmodeled force

    Update: Got the GIM6010-8 up and running. It was pretty smooth out of the box for constant velocity motion like this but needed to be tuned for position control
