Late in 2021, I read a paper called “A Computational Study of Empty Space Ratios in Chinese Landscape Painting, 618–2011” (Wang et al.), measuring “blank space” (留白) ratios of Chinese landscape painting. My first impulse? Turn it back to art! direct.mit.edu/leon/article/5… (1/5)

You might be surprised but ancient Chinese painting and calligraphy (ownership-wise) functioned like nft, each new collector adding their signature seal onto the artwork, making all "transactions" trackable 🤯
