    Now that the mindshare has shifted to GPUs and AI compute, there is little appetite to change CPU arch. The mindset is if it is working then why touch it. This is certainly going to influence how x86 vs ARM vs RISCV plays out now.

    Yes, there is no need to reinvent the compute protocols. The current standards (Ethernet for off chip/off package, AMBA for on chip/on package) are great and evolving just fine as systems are scaling.

    Agreed! Most non coherent protocols are basically loads and stores in different semantics, so practically interchangeable. PHY determines all KPIs for them. Coherent ones have their nuances: such as latency tolerant or not, symmetric or not. But good ones are comparable.
