The @10DowningStreet press office have granted @theresa_may interviews to 20 @BBCNews journalists during conference; none for @Channel4News or @5_News and there is solidarity across broadcasters that this is a dangerous precedent

We had @rustyrockets on @Channel4News once to discuss UK drug legislation; afterwards he called to say he required final editorial approval of his interview, something I couldn’t give. He was furious, called me a “c” & swore he would destroy me & us. It was his last appearance

Great speech; being @Channel4News was a battle to tell the truth without being attacked. But the most frightening time was Robbie Gibb’s press office banning us from government access because we’d reported #Windrush before other TV; “you keep banging on about it and no-one cares”
We were hoping to ask the PM about the lockdown at his speech but space for journalists was limited & we weren’t invited. We also asked for the Health Sec. to appear on the programe tonight but were told he was not available..he has not been for @Channel4News for more than 3 week
