Friend was traveling & wanted to visit - I declined because they don’t take Covid precautions. They get home & tell me “omg I’m so sick - it’s a good thing we didn’t visit as this would kill you.” I asked if they considered the other people like me they exposed on travels. A 🧵/1

The “male loneliness epidemic” is largely because men haven’t learned how to behave. Women are fed up. I had an ex who didn’t “believe” my food allergies were severe. He made dinner one night and snuck spices into the food to trap me in a “gotcha”

Had my first healthcare worker refuse to mask My chart says I’m immune compromised & require staff to mask. The facility had a policy that if asked, staff will wear I was told “no I need to breathe to do my job”. I stood firm & said I’m high risk and masks are required 🧵

Misogyny in medicine is focusing more on what a man might WANT than what a woman NEEDS. I NEEDED a hysterectomy and was told I wouldn’t survive pregnancy. “Informed consent” for surgery looked like this: “Don’t you want to be a Mom?” “You may want BIOLOGICAL children” /1 🧵

When I needed a hysterectomy due to severe endometriosis & adenomyosis, I was repeatedly denied Told I “might want kids.” Told I “might meet a man who wants kids” I was left disabled & bed ridden, yet the system continued to try & save my diseased uterus against my will 🧵

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP. Bezos is worth $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP. The people who need help are not the problem. It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage

“Let them go a month without meals. Maybe they’ll get a job” First, many SNAP recipients have jobs. They’re just living below the poverty line because of tremendous wealth inequality. Second, many are disabled and children and can’t work. Third, no one should starve to death.

I got a vasectomy 26 years ago, and here's what I noticed: There were no protestors, no one trying to get me to change my mind, no unnecessary medical scans, and no 48 hour waiting period. It's like I was trusted to make my own medical decisions. 🤨
