When Sara Slane was a gambling executive pushing for the legalization of sports betting nationwide her message was simple: states know best. Now working for Kalshi, she's saying the opposite. Slane wants Congress to ban any state regulation of prediction markets

Just to be clear, there's a 19 year old college dropout moron named "Big Balls" who is singularly responsible for: literal millions of deaths, the military occupation of Washington D.C., and potentially every single person in the country having their identity stolen

The whistleblower report from SSA's Chief Data Officer is insane, everybody should read it. Without any means of tracing access or use, "Big Balls" uploaded American's SSNs, DOB, health info, and more into an unauthorized cloud environment—and every American could need a new SSN.

Underrated part of Democratic fecklessness is the insistence on finding out more information before doing anything. A US Senator was just assaulted and handcuffed by a political opponent! What more information do you need? Why are you asking for answers instead of consequences?

.@SenSchumer on @SenAlexPadilla: "I just saw something that sickened my stomach; the manhandling of a United States Senator. We need immediate answers to what the hell went on."

Two years ago nobody knew what DEI was and four years ago nobody but legal scholars had heard of "Critical Race Theory"

With three House Democrats passing away since January, it's looking like being a Democratic House Rep. is by far the most deadly job in America, with an annualized estimate of 3689 deaths per 100,000. Logging is a distant second at 100.7 per 100,000

The New York Times was asked "Which constitutes more government experience? 5 years as a state assemblyman or being a hedge fund manager?" and somehow came to the conclusion that managing rich people's money counted more for government service than literal government service

Lol the NYTimes Editorial Board says don't rank Zohran, a state rep who's won several significant legislative victories, cause he has "less relevant experience than perhaps any mayor in NYC history," and instead recommends Tilson, a hedge fund manager with ZERO gov experience.

If Zohran knew the first thing about economics he wouldn't be promoting publicly owned grocery stores. Real economy knowers like me would propose deceiving students at a scam coding boot camp instead

I don’t say this lightly: Zohran Mamdani’s proposal for New York City to drive down food prices by having the city run its own grocery stores is the most economically delusional thing I’ve seen in a long time. What planet do these people live on?

Absolutely brutal interview here, shows that cynical use of bodies and spaces language is not actually something done by the left wing of the party, but by the center as a way to tamp down any dissent

Guy looking at feudal lords living in castles and concluding that it’s the peasants living in small unprotected huts in the fields who must be the real oppressors in this situation

Riding on an armored bus through Samaria, I noticed that the Israeli settlements all look like fortresses, while the Palestinian towns weren't worried about defending themselves at all Almost like the violence in the West Bank goes 95% one direction

Lina Khan is both a scary monster that ruined the Biden administration by terrifying business leaders and an ineffective dilettante who has never accomplished anything. A contradiction that can only exist in the Neoliberal Mind™️

Really remarkable how both Yglesias and Weiss managed to convince themselves that being disliked by their colleagues and rage quitting their jobs was a "cancelation"

What you must understand about Yglesias: he hates the ways in which the US stands out from Europe in a positive way — birthright citizenship, our sprawling public lands, robust due process and privacy rights. He also happens to hate the good part about Europe, a social safety net
