Oh good. A man just drove by, rolled down his window, screamed at me to “Tell the truth” about COVID and then yelled that I’m a dumb “c-word”…he felt comfortable doing this while driving in his work truck. Welcome to being a journalist in 2022.

My mom & I just went to Service Ontario to transfer car ownership. We already signed a sworn statement that says we’re mother & daughter, but Mom also brought family pics in her purse (incl my grade 1 class photo) just in case they asked for more proof #truestory 🧐😒

2 things that helped me the most with my anxiety: Talking about it & hearing others talk about theirs. Saved me to know I wasn’t alone. I tear up as I type this b/c it meant so much. I still deal w/anxiety, but now I’m better at breathing thru it. Removing shame was key #LetsTalk

Can’t stop thinking about Jennifer Neville-Lake. Yesterday I had at least 3 convos unrelated to this story where I asked the generic “how are you?” The person’s answer? “Feeling down. Did you hear about Ed Lake? So sad.” If strangers feel this way, I can’t fathom how she’s doing.
