At the core of Fibre is a new ultra-fast data availability (DA) encoding protocol, based on ZODA. The encoding protocol provides an alternative to KZG commitments (used by existing DA protocols). Compared to KZG-based protocols, Fibre processes data up to 881x faster.

Really cool exercise you can try yourself rn on Manta. Go to the sequencer tx on etherscan, remove the first byte (version number), take the next 8 bytes and find the block height on celenium.io, then take the last 32 bytes and look for that commitment!

This is a tx posted by the Manta sequencer to the Inbox. The encoding is made of 3 parts: a version number (0x02), a block height (0xa4aa050000000000) and a blob commitment (the rest). Since a height is specified, the node knows where to look.
