I have terrible, disturbing, infuriating news. Wonton was adopted on Thursday to what seemed like a great home. She left as a healthy, perfect, playful kitten. Friday morning, just 20 hrs later, she was returned to me broken, bleeding, in critical condition.

- how do you explain to a cat that after 15 years of being loyal and loving to his human, he was dumped off in a pee-soaked stroller at a rescue's doorstep because the new boyfriend doesn't like cats? People are so disappointing.
- just saw a kid in petsmart with his hands and face pressed against an adoptable cat's glass cage telling the cat they need to "form a plan" because his mom said no and whispering his full home address to the cat. i think the kids will be alright
- why do nurses just keep admitting, unprovoked, that they're the worst peopleThis Post is from an account that no longer exists. Learn more
- 4 months ago she was adopted, fell out of a window, dragged her broken body under a car, was returned to me, 7 days in the ICU, 3 surgeries, 6 weeks of tube feeding... and now she's built enough trust in me to follow me around and stare at me like this so yes, I'm keeping Wonton
- I have to lock Wonton and Milo out of my bedroom at night, behold the offering of toys they brought to my door through the night in an attempt to pay admission
- well I have some developments to share for anyone who remembers Boots, the misleadingly friend-shaped feral guy I TNR'd last year and have been feeding and begging to let me touch him this whole time to no avail
- breaking both of your arms, your jaw, your entire face, undergoing 2 intense surgeries within 48 hrs, having your jaw sutured shut and a feeding tube in your neck = not enough to stop Wonton from enjoying a saturday night churu
00:00 - Jello is about to be 8 wks old and is the size of a 3-4 wk old. she has some little neurological quirks and quite frankly she just ain't right here she is compared to a jar of baby food and post-it notes for scale
- you ever look at your cat and be like. good thing you have a home here because ain't nobody would've adopted your ass
- guess who got her buttons/jaw sutures and feeding tube out today!!! she has not stopped eating, chirping, purring, and playing since we got home 🥹 I'm so proud of perfect little Wonton, she's the most resilient girl in the entire world
- yesterday I saw an article about a tiny black 6 week old kitten who was found in a box with a few 2 week old kittens and he was "trying to take care of them as best as he could" and my mental state has been very unstable since
- don't be fooled by how cute this picture is. he is charging up his violence via photosynthesis
