It is with sadness that we share with you that our founder and friend, Timothy J. Keller passed away this morning, May 19, 2023 at the age of 72, trusting in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection. gospelinlife.com/tim-keller-is-…
No family will always be there. No talent will always be there. Your looks certainly will not always be there. Whatever it is you put your anchor down into, if it’s a circumstance, it’s like putting it into the water. Everything but the promise of God is water. – @timkellernyc
The way you know the difference between a Christian and a religious person – a person who really knows God and a person who just has a nominal kind of religious morality – is wonder. – @timkellernyc
“To be loved but not known is superficial. To be known and not loved is our great fear — but to be known and loved, that transforms you.” - @timkellernyc
“Eastern meditation ordinarily says the purpose of meditation is to empty the mind. Biblical meditation is exactly the opposite. It’s to fill the mind with Scripture.”
While we miss @timkellernyc greatly, we draw strength and hope from the joyful knowledge that he is healed, happy, holy and with Jesus. We're grateful for how Tim’s love for the gospel continues to encourage and continues to point people to Christ.
One year ago, on 5.19.23, our beloved friend and co-founder @timkellernyc went home to be with his Savior. We have missed him every day since, but because our Redeemer lives, we rejoice that Tim is with the God he loved and rejoice in the gospel he taught us and held close.
Idolatry is looking to something to give you the kind of hope, the kind of value, the kind of safety that only God himself can give you. – @timkellernyc
