I've started a new company, rekursiv.ai, as a co-founder with my good friend Josh Dillon.
We're currently building teams of autonomous AI Scientists which are running experiments and discovering new knowledge.
Now you know why I left Google to join Luma. I was in the team that developed Veo early on but knew it would never be shipped to the masses for quite a long time, same as Sora. Not until a company like Luma forces their hand, that is (at least I hope, gimme access 😁).
Today we are launching Dream Machine, our first AI model that generates cinematic and fluid videos from text instructions and images.
I generated this 1-minute 60 fps video entirely from our model.

Demo showing Luma AI reasons from text in uploaded images:
1. Make cardboard box in Dalle 3
2. Write “Strawberries” on box
3. Send to Luma AI with text prompt: “Unboxing video”
Keyframes have arrived within Dream Machine! Start and end keyframes give you narrative control, while text instructions guide the journey. Change lighting and seasons, control perspectives, morph subjects, and create impossible transitions! All in #LumaDreamMachine 🧵1/9
