Margaret Thatcher (1925-2013) passed away on this day ten years ago.
The Iron Lady was a remarkable women. A patriot, a warrior for freedom and liberty, a truly great leader of courage and conviction.
Decided to ditch public transport and walked 7 miles to hand deliver a Mother’s Day card. I couldn’t go in but we spoke at distance, her from her front door. She looked at my red trainers and said “you walked seven miles in these? Just as well the streets are empty.”
Not so much person of the year, but of the last three decades. Who knew that the Tories and British establishments biggest nightmare would not be a pompous vacillating bourgeois quisling of ‘the left’ but a cool, articulate working class guy? Bring us more Mick’s.
