Why are there so few women in crypto? I think there's little surprise here. There are fewer women in finance, tech and libertarian philosophy, and crypto is basically an intersection of all those. You can also add gaming, but a 3-circle venn diagram is pettier.
Do we need more women in crypto? 1/2 I think a generic "more women" or "more certain-type-of-person" approach is lazy. Crypto is actually in many ways super inclusive - it's pretty borderless (because it's very online) and very ageless (because it's open and also anon-friendly).
Bro culture. I don't think all crypto = bro culture, but the space is dominated by men's vibes. When you attend events where you're 1 woman in 40 people, you basically have to learn the banter. Equally, I feel strange at female-only events, there's also some disbalance of energy.
