    The wind record continues to tumble 🌬️🌬️🌬️ For the 🌟first time in UK history🌟 we can confirm that wind has produced over 20GW of electricity!!! We’re waiting on further data to confirm the final figure but it’s clear we have a new record

    Yesterday #wind generated 51.0% of GB electricity, more than gas 20.9%, nuclear 15.9%, imports 5.6%, hydro 2.4%, biomass 2.2%, solar 1.8%, coal 0.1%, other 0.0% *excl. non-renewable distributed generation

    So the final figures are in! Yesterday, wind generated 20896MW in the 12:30 settlement period. That's OVER HALF (53%) of all of GB's electricity. Overall, it was a VERY green day - 70% of energy was zero carbon (Nuclear, Wind, Hydro, Solar & Storage)🌬️🍃🇬🇧🥳#netzero #energy

    Wow, wasn't it windy 🌬️ yesterday! So much so that we saw a new max #Wind generation record 🏅 of over 21.6GW We are still waiting for all the data to come through for yesterday - so this might be adjusted slightly. Great news for #ZeroCarbon #Electricity operation.

    🌬️ Definitely windy out there today🌬️ At midday we saw a new record for wind generation at 🌟19.936GW🌟 beating the record set in May With more wind on the way this week lets see if we can go past 20GW for the first time ever🤞
