- Today, I covered the protests. Tonight, I was arrested for walking to my car past curfew. (Despite having a press exemption and wearing my press pass prominently.) I am ok. More soon.
- Longtime #PHLed teacher Joyce Abbott doesn't work for recognition. But she got recognized in a big way when her former student @quintabrunson created a TV show inspired by her. AKA, that's why it's called @AbbottElemABC.
- Overheard in section 324 - Braves fans start the Tomahawk Chop. Phillies fan approaches them. “You can root for your team, but don’t be racist.”
- Replying to @newskagImpt update: the president loves the dress, and also complimented a young man on his extremely sharp style.
- The Philly 4th grader whom President Trump highlighted as stuck in “failing government schools”? She attends one of the city’s most sought-after charters. Story, with @maddiehanna:
- I am trying to write a story at my desk. This dog just brought me her leash and is now sitting with it, looking disapproving and periodically whining. If any #phled news is delayed, blame Evie.
- This is my dad, Bill Graham. He’s 76, a lifelong fan who taught me about the beauty of baseball. He’s newly recovered from pneumonia and he is thrilled to be here. His rally helmet is at the ready.
- Walk time isn’t happening fast enough, so Evie brought me a shoe to speed the process. The shoe is not mine, but she gets points for style.
- My children just said they’d go to bed without complaint if I “let them say goodnight to Twitter.” A mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do.
- Model @karliekloss (promoting women learning coding) singer @Camila_Cabello earning huge cheers from #NationalCollegeSigningDay crowd.
- OK this is a sign. @PhillyInquirer reader Karen Townsend sent this photo of the clouds in the shape of a Phanatic, and I was skeptical, but COME ON IT’S THE PHANATIC! Go Phils.
