- I was employee #3 at @prisma — after 9 years, this past week was my final day. Here are some reflections on the time, why I'm leaving, why I believe in a bright future for Prisma and what's next for me! ✨
- I joined @prisma in 2017 when were only five people and still called Graphcool. It's absolutely incredible what the team has achieved since then! The launch today marks a major milestone and sets the foundation for the future of the company. 1/n
- ⚡️ You can now run Prisma Postgres locally! 🤫 It uses PGlite under the hood, no Docker required!
- 🥗🍔 GraphQL schema stitching explained with salads & burgers... just get your entire lunch from one restaurant instead of requesting it from two separate ones 😏 Thanks to @NikkitaFTW & @motleydev for the inspiration + @kkuldar for the awesome design 🙌
- 🚀 The "React & Apollo"-tutorial on howtographql.com just saw a major update. Huge thanks to @swcarlosrj for his hard work on the update! 💪😍 What's new? ✅ Use latest @apollographql version ✅ Use `apollo-boost` ✅ Use render props API
- 🤔 Do we really need another Postgres service? It's a valid question! There are a ton of options out there already, so why did we build another one? The answer: An innovative architecture with unique benefits for developers! 🧵🚀 Announcing Prisma Postgres — A blazing-fast, serverless DB deployed via unikernels on bare metal with: ✅ no cold starts ✅ generous free tier ✅ real-time events, caching & a lot more Learn more and try it out 👇 pris.ly/ppg-early-acce…
- 😮 It feels unreal that Prisma is on its way to become the default way for Node.js devs to work with DBs — after being in production for only ~1 year!! 🚀 I'm absolutely amazed by all the 💚 we get from devs and it's incredible to see more & more companies succeed with Prisma.
- It's not easy to describe how @prisma is different from traditional ORMs. I ❤️ @schickling's analogy for it: 💡 What React is to the DOM, Prisma is to your database! It's all about abstraction levels - the goal of Prisma is to provide the right abstraction™️ for your DB. 👇
- Autocompletion for the Prisma schema coming to your editor soon 🔥
00:00 - 🤯 Started exploring the @typegraphql + @prisma integration and was able to spin up a CRUD GraphQL within a few minutes (using @apollographql server)! 👏 Huge shoutout to @MichalLytek for his awesome work! 👉 github.com/nikolasburk/ty…
- I'm a huge fan of Wes Bos and his teaching skills 👨🏫 His latest course on AdvancedReact.com is about React, GraphQL and @prisma. We've worked on this together a lot over the past few months, so exciting it finally launches! 💪 Congrats, Wes 🎉🔥 Announcing Advanced React & GraphQL! - ❤️ One thing I really love about working at @prisma is that while we have been growing incredibly fast over the past years, only very few colleagues left. 💚 I started when we were 5 people, now we're close to 50. Only 3(!) fulltime people left the company in that time.
