I made millions of $’s trading in the NQ pit at CME, after divorce in 03, remarried in 05, huge changes in floor trading I was slow to react to, 2008 my Mom died in June, my sister died in Nov & my mother-in-law in March plus failure of my prop group I owned, real estate

Over the years I have learned the less I trade the happier I will be. I do not need to catch every price change & wiggle. I can’t try & catch every move. Markets are a constant river of opportunity. All I have to do is grab my chunk, protect it & grow it.

I have been this kid. I admire this kind of self-confidence. Believe kid. When I started trading NQ, my seat lease was $3200 a month, I started with 10k in my account. The NQ was $100 a tick, yes-$100 a tick. After a few months I widdled my account down to $251. I still have the

Got about 200 bucks left to my name. 6k outstanding credit card debt rent and shit, IRS payments and food whatever. I going to fund 6k into my ocean acc, so my starting equity will be around 1.8k again. Putting my CC debt at 12k and turn this around.

Today was a day. I woke up at 4:40 with a rapid & irregular heartbeat. It didn’t get better by the market open. I went to the ER where I was diagnosed with AFIB-first time anything like this has happened. The docs gave me some meds to bring my heart back into rhythm. It didn’t

Money you lost is history. It’s in the past. Dont try to get it back. Chasing lost money keeps you from creating new money. Move forward. Don’t make trades based on past trades. Make trades based on your process.

I was a big NQ pit trader-I could move the market. In 03 I got divorced. I took a few months off to get my mind right. I came back & was trading bigger then ever. For a time I was 10% of the NQ volume. Traders who fed off my downticks were making more $ then me. Not a time I am

On the trading floor our first 10 years we were still looked at as rookies. The veteran traders looked at us like ’you haven’t proven anything yet.’ Take your time people. Real success in this business takes time and even when you think you figured it out, you haven’t.

This is the day I lost 1.5m. I came home-told my wife. I promptly took all my clothes off & threw them out including my shoes and socks. My head was swimming but I tried to make light of it. My daughter grabbed my pants & shoes out of the garbage & put em on. We laughed like

I had my worst trading day on a surprise rate cut on the very first trading day of the year. Jan 03, 2001 after the tech bubble burst Greenspan cut rates by .50 late in the morning on a Monday or Tuesday. The NQ rallied 26% in a matter of a few minutes. There was no liquidity for
