    .@coinbase and @krakensupport hold 78k out of 296k validators on the Ethereum beacon chain and they're running @prylabs without any published plans to switch to a non-majority client. Their radio silence on an issue that impacts your funds and our network should infuriate you.

    Just a friendly reminder that with Ethereum gas above 6000 gwei, the chain is still humming along perfectly. Historically, this might have broken things or just caused calamity, now it's just "high gas fees". Big shout out to the Ethereum researchers and developers.

    You think: - Staking is hard. It's not. - You could lose all of your Eth. You won't. - You need powerful hardware. You don't. - It requires constant maintenance. It doesn't. - Only professionals should do it. This is flat wrong. **Staking on Ethereum is meant for home users**

    In case you missed it: the Kiln merge testnet is underway. Right now it's two chains, PoW and PoS. Soon, they'll merge to Proof of Stake consensus. This is a major milestone and marks Ethereum's readiness for full Proof of Stake. The merge will cut our energy footprint by 99.98%.

    What if "investing in Ethereum" doesn't mean buying coins and turning a profit? What if it means collaborating to build a highly decentralized network that benefits everyone in the world for hundreds of years? Ethereum can be less about money and more about humanity.

    I've seen thousands of people leave bitcoin and become Ethereans, but I can't think of a single person who has left Ethereum to commit all of their time to bitcoin. That ought to tell you something.

    The Ethereum merge will take place some time around June '22, but it won't have an impact on the transaction fees you're paying. After the merge the focus will likely shift to fees, but you can be proactive now by using tools like Polygon, xdai, Arbiturm, Optimism, and zksync.

    The beacon chain did not "halt", to suggest that it did is willfully spreading misinformation. Finalization was delayed for 3 epochs (about 19 minutes), and was recovered after turbulence. End users would have no idea this happened and transactions continued normally.

    I wonder, who will be the first staking provider to publicly commit to limiting themselves to not operating more than 22% of validators on the chain? Who do you want to see step up to the plate and prioritize beacon chain health above profits?
