Remember when I announced I was writing a book about observability? Well, I wasn't able to achieve my original vision, but I realized I'd made some valuable content, so here it is, for free.
OPay is an interesting product. No UI or UX (or rather, just brutalist). They have the worst YouTube ads I've seen. Other brands dream up storytelling, music, visuals. Theirs is just a literal screenshot of the app.
And yet...you can't beat a product that just works.

Man, UI design is so hard. You spend a lot of time thinking about tiny details (like what shade of purple to use here vs there) that won't be noticed by anyone, yet will make their experience much smoother.
One unexpected benefit of Twitter is seeing tech founders and CEOs' takes about employment and hiring and recognising who you'd be miserable working for.

Yes, I'm working on the same thing I was on yesterday. I'm not blocked. There are no problems. It's just how work is. I need time to do my work well. Telling you that I'm still working on it won't speed it up.
