    Putting out another call to help me update the FGC Locals spreadsheet! If your local fighting game tournament isn't on here, please add it, and if it is, help me keep it updated! We currently have👏551 active locals👏listed but I'm sure there are more

    Capcom did a lot of things right with Street Fighter 6, but clearly the best single thing they did is that when English-voice Honda lands ex command grab, he goes "Hungry?? Here's some BEEEEEF!" as his gigantic ass lands ass-first on top of you. Just really great work, hats off

    Me in 2007 swaggering into my local monthly at C3 in Northern Virginia thinking I had a good shot to win another Super Turbo tournament only to see that Justin Wong had taken a 6 hour bus ride down from New York City to farm us for cash that day

    a screenshot from capcom's web page titled "Regarding Video Uploads and Co-Streaming for “Street Fighter League: Pro-JP 2025”" which says that you can now co-stream SFLJP! and it shows a graphic of the area on the screen that you are allowed to capture footage of, and it shows an a red filter over the entirety of the screen with a tiiiiny little blue filter over just the literal timer itself. underneath that graphic is the text, " *Image of the displayable area", meaning the timer. the timer!! the only part of the footage you can stream is the TIMER looooooooooool it's so goood it's geniusssss

    Pretty weird to have lived long enough to see the internet go from filesharing to NFTs, in other words, from open participatory sharing to exclusivist re-imposition of scarcity. Obv the utopian internet I used to imagine never happened, but imo NFTs are the nails in its coffin

    I just heard that some top Street Fighter players are actively training up SonicFox in SFV, and my reaction is Wow, I didn't know those SF heads were so rich that they didn't need to win any more tournaments ever again

    my sf6 create-a-character character, whose identity is "human". like all humans, its gigantic yet lanky body is an effusive glowing white everywhere except for its tiny head which glows red around its glowing red eyes

    Almost 20 years ago, I read a Remy thread on SRK where someone asked how to punish something. Just kara flash kick, replied Dagger G Today on SF6 I played a Guile who hit me with drive rush flash kick, first time I'd seen it in a real match. That player's CFN: yep, Dagger G. Ggs
